Emma Richman, Violin

Emma Richman is a New York-based violinist. She holds Bachelor's and Master's degrees from The Juilliard School, and, upon graduation, was selected as one of fifteen students to receive the Juilliard Career Advancement Fellowship. A Minneapolis native, Emma began studying violin at age five at the Northern Lights School for Strings with Susan Crawford, and later worked intensively with Minnesota Orchestra concertmaster Erin Keefe. Possessing a deep love of chamber music, Emma was a founding member of the Marian String Quartet, coached by Natasha Brofsky, winning the top prize at the Saint Paul String Quartet Competition in 2022.

As a performer, educator, and activist, Emma seeks to share her passion for classical music. She currently holds a faculty position at the Great Neck Conservatory of Music and is a teaching artist for Concerts for Compassion. As a freelance musician, Emma performs regularly with the New York Classical Players and the Princeton Symphony Orchestra, and has appeared with the Orpheus Chamber Orchestra, Symphony in C, and Music for Food.
