Vienna served as the epicenter of much of Europe’s musical output for centuries, with composers like Mozart, Haydn, and Beethoven comprising the notable members of the “First” Viennese school, and the “Second” including the likes of Schoenberg, Berg, and Webern. This program showcases the incredible growth of Vienna’s musical identity throughout the years with works by Michael Haydn (brother of Joseph), Schoenberg, and Mozart.
